The treadmill most likely will help better. But, sit-ups, and bend-overs will really get much faster results, than either of those you mentioned.... But, it also takes discipline, doing them everyday!! And you will see quick results, trust me, on this one!! I use to do them for years, and always had a really tight tummy, until my back went out on me, and I got hit by a car!! I still find ways to keep my tummy down, however... and keep in shape period, through my walks.. but definately try the above exercises, you wont regret it, I promise you this! Hey , You have a Wonderful Happy New Year, for me!!! Smile!!!

I have a treadmill that I use and I have not noticed any flattening of the tummy at all. It needs to be combined with other workouts. However I have noticed that my legs are in pretty good shape from the walking on the treadmill that you don't get from everyday walking.
Even regular situps don't do anything that I have noticed. But they need to be combined with other things as well.

Seeing as you have the bike at home, use that. You can also sit on the bike while doing other things, for example reading, watching tv. This would mean you could stay on it for longer. And it's more easily accessible and probably cheaper (than if you buy a treadmill/get a gym membership).

Either one will do about the same--increase your stamina, tone leg muscles and help with overall weight loss. If you want to target your stomach, do sit-ups or curls or any type of excercise designed to strengthen the back (these also affect the abs) such as leg lifts.

unfortunately neither, they are good for you and will help you lose weight, however, the quickest and most efficient way to flatten and tone stomach is good old boring sit ups.

Vigorous and frequent use of either will be of equal help. Don't limit your exercise to these devices but add other activities such as handball, track and field, tennis - and be sure you eat right.
