Hi there...consider Nature's Miracle Just For Cats found worldwide at most pet stores. It's an enzymatic neutralizer which works by breaking down urine proteins by thoroughly soaking the areas affected and allowing to air dry. Repeated applications are necessary for heavily soiled areas.

We've tested nearly all enzyme neutralizers available in the marketplace for our exotic cats which have stronger urine than domestic cats and found that Nature's Miracle Just for Cats has always worked the best.

If all these relatively modern potions don't work for you, you could try an old mix my mother used to use with my cat. Get a bowl and put a couple table spoons of Arm & Hammer baking soda in it. Then, mix in a little water until it becomes a thin paste. You'll want it runny enough to thoroughly work it into the affected area. Massage it into the carpet a couple minutes and then leave it alone for 20-30 minutes.
Then return to the spot with a wet rag and a bucket of water. Continue to dab, and massage the area while cleaning the rag periodically to remove the baking soda. Once everything has dried, if you still see the baking soda repeat the last step. It's fairly easy to remove the baking soda so you shouldn't have too many problems getting it out. You should also vacume the area to remove any excess powder residue.
Once the area has completely dried, the smell should be gone. If you have thick carpet padding, it could be tough to get the smell completely out. I would say that in some of my previous experiences though, that the smell, if any still exists after cleaning, does seem to dissipate over time. That is, if the peeing stops! Good luck to you and your cat!

hello, I would suggest purchasing the Natures Miracle for cats, you can find it in any local pet store. Follow the instructions on the bottle to treat the area-it can also be used in a rug shampoo machine too. The product is designed to work enzymatically, so you will smell the smell as the product is working. You may need to treat the area a couple of times. Good Luck I have been there.

to the person that suggested to douse the area with vinegar: that is a stupid thing to do because the vinegar contains ammonia and this smells remarkably like cat urine and the cat will urinate here again. On the other hand try Bicarbonate of Soda and Water mixed together and put it on for about 10 minutes then wipe it off. GOOD LUCK

Go to your local pet store and get an enzymatic cleaner. It is about the only thing that works. I've had to use it before as well. Also, to prevent the cat from urinating in that spot again, try Feliway. Spray it in that spot and it should prevent it from happening. Again, I've used this and it works.

none of the stuff from wal-mart work...i promise. im almost positive that i tried them all...my bf ended up buying this stuff off the net called urine off..its in a black bottle with yellow letters...you spray it on whatever and then cover it with a garbage bag or something like that...youll see the instructions if you get it..but that the only thing that we used that actually worked...and not only will it get the smell out, it should also make it to where your cat wont want to pee there anymore...its about 30 bucks a bottle but well worth it.
