oh honey!!! i know what you mean! i smoke, but i still hide it from my 15 year old daughter because she is the smoker natzi! just leave your dad be, he's a grown man and knows the risks he's taking. i'm sure your mother also knows, she knows your father better than you think. perhaps you should privately speak with your mother and tell her to lay off your dad...but honestly, i don't think you need involved in your parents problems...answer # one had a valid point. good luck hun!

Why could you tell your dad now, once you have saved it to him for 2 years. do you desire help so which you will give up smoking, is that the explanation why you desire to tell your dad or you sense too accountable which you felt you're able to permit your dad be attentive to? there is not any uncomplicated thank you to tell him different than confront and talk to him and be waiting for something.

Just talk to your dad about it when your mom is not around. Tell him your concerns. But remember that you cannot change someone and make them quit smoking if they don't want to. Just give him reasons why you don't like him smoking.

Talk to your dad when no one else is around & let him know you're concerned about his health & you don't want your mum to discover it - a situation that could lead to divorce. And that your mum will find out anyway, if he doesn't stop, it's only a matter of time. Good luck.

You sound like such a caring person. My suggestion to you, is find a time that you can talk to your dad alone and tell him that you are worried about him because you know he is smoking. Tell him that you don't want to lose him. Be honest. He (should) appreciate it. Good luck.

one day when your mom is out, sit your dad down and talk to him about how you're afraid that your mom will find out and divorce him. Once he sees how its hurting you, he'll try to stop. BUT it is hard to quit, so be patient with him! nicorette?
