I don't know what my true religion is and I'm in the need of ferreting this out fast.

Indeed, I already know nearly everything about our Lord Heavenly Father and have read the Holy Bible all the way through at least 10 times. I'm particularly fond of Judaism but I find Amidah(Standing) and Kaddish frightingly difficult to follow. Moreover I'd not feel comfy giving up on Jesus Christ doctrines.

You need to take the teachings of religions, and check them out with your Bible.

What is false religion?

Why does religion seem to be at the root of so many problems?
The fault lies, not with all religion, but with “false” religion.

False Religion...MEDDLES IN WAR AND POLITICS: How many religions can you think of whose members engage in war?

False Religion...SPREADS FALSE DOCTRINE: Most religions teach that the soul of spirit is some invisible part of a human that survives the death of the physical body. However, the Bible teaches a different doctrine. “The soul that is sinning, it itself will die.” Ezekiel 18:4 Jesus taught that the dead will be resurrected, an unnecessary action if humans had an immortal soul. Does your religion teach that the soul does not die?

False Religion...TOLERATES IMMORAL SEX: Church groups ordain gay and lesbian members of the clergy. What, though, does the Bible teach? It plainly states: “Do YOU not know that unrighteous persons will not inherit God’s kingdom? Do not be misled. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men kept for unnatural purposes, nor men who lie with men.” 1 Cor. 6:9,10 Do you know of religions that condone immoral sex?

How to identify true religion.

True Religion...PRACTICES LOVE: True worshippers are “no part of the world,” are not divided by race or culture, and display “love among themselves.” Rather than killing one another, they are willing to die for one another.

True Religion...TRUSTS GOD'S WORD: Instead of teaching “tradition” and “commands of men as doctrines,” true religion bases its doctrine on God's Word, the Bible

True Religion...STRENGTHENS FAMILIES AND UPHOLDS HIGH MORAL STANDARDS: True religion trains husbands to “love their wives as their own bodies,” helps wives to develop “deep respect for their husbands,” and teaches children to “be obedient to their parents.”

True Religion is available, search for it.

L'Chaim's link was very good.

Islam wouldn't force you to give up Jesus, however he would be relegated to a prophet (not divine savior).

Ebionite,
Nazarene

these are two ancient forms of early Christianity. They are people who view Jesus as a Jewish prophet, and reject Paul's teachings (paulianity- the belief that Paul created Christianity and was wrong in his teachings. See Paul the Myth Maker by Maccoby, also might want to read 4000 years history of G-d by K. Armstrong)

There has been a revival of Ebionites on the web.

You can also check out Zoroastrianism. They don't normally convert new members, and don't really believe in Jesus per se however the three Magi were Zoroastrians and during the Christmas season they reenact the journey of the three Magi (the way Christians reenact the Nativity scene). so you might want to check it out

However, you don't want to just jump into a new religion as you may wind up in a cult, a group that looks good up front and just gets worse and worse the deeper you get, then falls apart when the leader dies anyway.

good luck to you

God tells us how to worship him all you have to do is read the inspired word he has given us.

It's wonderful that you want to seek the truth. However, you cannot do this "fast". It's through the process of elimination. You study God's Word the Bible and determine which religion is following the teachings of Christ. Those that are not, even if they claim to be Christian, are obviously not true to him. An example, the scriptures condemn murder. If your religion is ok with killing in the name of God or for whatever reason at ALL then obviously you're in the wrong place.

I would strongly suggest you pray to God and ask HIM to direct you to the true religion. Use his name, Jehovah, when you pray.

I wish you success in your quest. :-)

i really feel 4 u..u r caught up in the exhausting web of doubt, but a man of doubt makes a firm believer eventually, don't worry God will show u the way , keep looking within:the light of faith is within each one of us. i do not want to impose my religion:Islam on u ,however from a personal experience, i can say that Islam relieved my soul, appealed to my mind, crowned my life with a way to follow to reach paradise, the eternal bliss.
by the way a true Muslim should believe in Moses, Jesus,Muhammed, and all other prophets without the slightest distinction. finally, the choice is yours and if u want to know about Islam visit this site www.islamdoor.com(it includes stories of lost people like u) May God help u

Please do not look for religion.
You need a relationship,with a living God!
However because of sin you can not have this relationship.God is Holy and hates sin.
When we die we will stand before him and he will judge us according to his commandments.
Ask yourself ,have you ever told a lie?Have you ever taken something did not belong to you?Have you ever disobeyed your parents?Have you ever used Gods name in vain?Have you ever looked at someone with lust?(according to Jesus, will be judged as adulterer at heart). You got my point ,I hope.
When you stand before an Holy God religion will not help you.
You have broken Gods law,and will have to pay for it with your soul.

So what you really need is not religion, but forgiveness for breaking Gods law.

You see Jesus Christ offers you forgiveness, through what he has done on the cross. All you have to do is repent, and receive him as your personal Lord and Savior.
Not only will you go to heaven when you die,but you will become Gods child, and he will give you an abundant life here on Earth.
If you have a bible please read the book of John.

Becoming a Muslim will solve everything......

There is no compulsion in the religion,
There are no contradictions in the Qur'aan
The Qur'aan is the true word of God
The Qur'aan is the way of life
Islaam is the truth, and the key to Paradise

I think you should read first about the 3 great religions Christianity, Islam and Judaism

Since I do not know sources about Christianity and Judaism, this is a good material about Islam.

Look in the mirror
Your answer is there

Your religion is a series of beliefs you have about the world around you. That 'set of beliefs' could be that you draw your life's energy from a leathery book written by desert nomads who got bored a long time ago.

Then again it could be that you draw your set of beliefs based upon a feeling that "life everywhere is precious and should not be squandered"

In as much as all gods are false, there can be no such thing as a "true" religion. Religion is the ultimate con, it is government protected, tax free and the product they sell doesn't have to be delivered until you reach a place that doesn't exist. No wonder so many people jump on this manured money wagon.
