It may be nothing more than a sinus infection. Sinus infections are often mistaken for top back teeth problems. Good Luck!

It can be caused by a molar tooth.
And it also can be an ear infection.
I'd go get the cheaper of the two checked out first.
Ear infection can be treated by a doctor and you usually can get bulk billed for that depending on where you are in the world or which part of Australia.
Dentists is more expensive because you have to pay for that upfront and its usually $150.
So get the ear checked out if its not the ear it must be the tooth.
Unfortunately in this case both can create what is known as referred pain. Ear ache can cause tooth pain.... And tooth pain can cause ear pain. Its hard to tell which is which.

That happened to me a few months ago. I had a pain in my molar area that made my ear hurt and my head. I felt of my glands there and they were swollen. I had a sinus infeciton. It shouls go away soon, but it could be that you either have an ear infection, or you have a sinus infection.
Hope I helped!
Ciao for now,
Tara

Yes it is possible. My grandma has bad molars and her knee hurts all the time. The stress from the tooth can affect other parts of the body. Talk to your dentist to find a pain reliever.

Could be either, or. Ear and tooth pain (especially molars) can have a painful effect on the entire head.

Oh yeah, its possiable!
See, sometimes the roots of your teeth extend into your sinus.
It could even be that your tooth hurts because of your ear or a sinus infection.
I've looked at some awesome x-rays where the roots of teeth extend into the "maxillary sinus" and the tooth can become an ache if it's far enough in there.

Sounds like it could be an ear infection or even sinus infection. Whatever it is, you should get it checked out. If it's bacterial, it won't clear up until you get on some antibiotics. In the meantime, apply heat to that area and take some ibuprofen to reduce swelling and pain. Hope you feel better, too.

yes it is. I had to have my removed last month. It was causing bad headaches and ear pain. It can cause a infection in your ear if the tooth is bad. Go to the ER of dentist and have it checked out soon. the pain will just get worse
