If you are really heavy it is a good possibility. If you are not much overweight and need to lose about 40 lbs.....a healthy way would be about 2 to 3 months. I used to be a personal trainer and the toughest thing about losing your weight is keeping it off. If you lose it slowly, your body adapts to your "new" weight therefore it will be easier to maintain....let me know if you have any questions.

Yes it is possible. Please do not try to loose weight that fast though.
I agree with some of the other posters that 1-2 pound a week is the most you want to loose. Also after a few weeks you will have a week to "maintain weight" and not loose anyweight.
I HAVE LOST 32 pounds in the past year and it took me several months to loose that much weight. I have kept it off too by exercising (walking almost everyday for at least 20 minutes). Good luck and remember when taking weight off fast people gain the weight back just as fast. take care.

Yes 40 lbs can be lost in a month... by whatever. BUT NOT BY DIET AND EXERCISE AND DEFINITELY NOT IN ANY WAY WHICH COULD BE DESCRIBED AS HEALTHY.
If a person loses that much weight in such a short period of time they take a great risk of causing all sorts of internal organ failure, adrenal gland problems, chemical imbalances, depletion of much needed nutrients and so on and so on.
Additionally there is no good reason to attempt to lose that much weight in that short a period of time. You literally would have to eat so little as to be unable to substantially sustain life. DO NOT DO THIS FOOLISH THING. HAVE SOME RESPECT AND GENEROSITY OF SPIRIT FOR YOURSELF AND FIND A WAY TO LOSE WEIGHT MODERATELY WHICH WILL BE FAR MORE BENEFICIAL IN THE LONG RUN.

NO! Not by diet and exercise, unless no food was eaten PERIOD. This would be a very sever weight loose and dangerous to ones health! Very dangerous.
Perhaps liposuction? Still requires close medical supervision.

No it's not possible to lose that much weight in one month by diet and exercise. I have heard of people losing that much in a month by gastric bypass surgery though.

in all possibility. even nonetheless, I distinctly doubt it could be healthful till you're distinctly obese, as dropping weight could be lots greater handy and quicker once you weigh lots. additionally, your calorie intake is a few distance too low. Up it to a minimum of 1800, or you will finally end up hungry, no longer dropping weight and not getting adequate nutrient intake. To the guy who reported they simply ate 2 nutrition an afternoon, it extremely is very risky. you would be eating 3 important nutrition an afternoon, whilst eating snacks between nutrition. So in case you consume breakfast at 7AM, consume a snack around 9 or 10AM, consume lunch around midday, consume yet another snack around 2, and then yet another around 4, supper around 6-7PM and yet another snack around 9 or approximately 30-60 minutes before mattress. it incredibly is advantageous to consume before mattress as long because it is not a brilliant meal, with the aid of fact your physique does not care what time this is. in the adventure that your physique is hungry, it incredibly is hungry inspite of the time. additionally, eating a snack before mattress will provide help to sleep longer without feeling hungry and you will in all possibility awaken no longer feeling painfully starved.
