it can work. it takes alot of effort & commitment. its not easy... but if its meant to be it will work out i think. it depends on how long your talking about also??? if its for several years, then i think youd have to at least once a year find someway to get together & catch up face to face... it depends on how strong you both are emotionally & how deep your love for each other is...
the positive side i suppose is that you could both spend this time apart really getting to know each other, building a strong bond between you...
and trust is obviously extremely important...
follow your gut instincts...

I was engaged for a year and a half at a distnace and now married for a few months at a distance. Does the long distance marriage mean you don't love the person as much? does it mean it won't work out? All I can tell you is that you miss the person so much more, and you value every second that you do spend together. Yes I would rather be with him, but at a distance we are still very much in love. If you both know what love at a distnace is going to be like, and are patient and considerate with eachother then it can work out.

Yes because, if there is trust and commitment in the relationship, then both have to trust each other.
No if its just a one off time pass relationship. then let it go
