Is it because they know that they cannot prove God exists?

It is far easier for godbots to prove that a mythical human being existed than a mythical god. And if they could "prove" a mythical human existed, then they could claim, "jeebus existed, that means god exists!" which is *still* a false argument. (If I prove that Odysseus existed, that doesn't prove that Zeus existed, does it?)

The focus is placed on a mythical human because it is far easier to prove a human being existed than it is to prove a dead person can get up and walk.

As the true saying goes, extraordinary claims require extraordinary proof. If godbots REALLY want to prove their "god" and "jeebus" existed, then they can perform the magic tricks in a scientifically controlled environment. But they won't do it because they know that they *can't* do it.

We would not have Jesus if it were not for God. God is the one that sent His Son to die on the cross for our sins. And another thing on a personal note: If there were no God, or angels or Jesus or anything, I would be dead right now. I have been in 3 life or death situations, where the odds were not on my side. I literally got ran over by a school bus, when I was 11. The angels positioned my body where the bus went right over me and the wheels did not hit me. If I would have been in a little bit of a different position I would have gotten crushed to death. God sent His angels to protect me.

Jesus is the image of the invisible God. Jesus and God are one- when you have seen Jesus you have seen the Father. Everything about Jesus points us to God- without Jesus you are not worshiping the One true Living God. Look are the name "Christians"- We are followers of Jesus Christ.

It is because of people who believe in trinity that true christians are bashed....like that one who said Jesus is God...

Jesus is the Son of God, cant you understand, you have a father but youre not him and he is not you!

Jesus was in heaven side by side with God learning and observing all about him. When he came down to earth (And God is still in heaven), Jesus showed how is Father is like...as the answerer above(farther above) said he is the 'image of the invisible God.

God sent Jesus to earth, he did not sent himself...2 Chronicles 2:6 "For the heavens and the heaven of the heavens cannot contain him, and who am I that I should build him a house ...?"

If the heavens cannot contain God's power how much more could a limited earth space?

It is because of people who claim to be Christian yet do not understand the bible why there are Atheists...It is because of your false doctrines that turned them away!

Mostly because those who do this are unaware that the historicity of Jesus is not in question with legitimate theologians or historians. Too many references to him by NON-Jewish and NON-Christian writers from His own time.

But these folks figure that if they can give you Jesus then you'll listen to what He has to say and you'll look at what he did and go, "Oh, my goodness! Well! That proves it! He's who He says He is and that makes God as real as a Colorado blizzard."

Personally, I prefer a more logical, cogent rationale. Like St. Thomas Aquinas' "Summa Theologica". And the Five Arguments.

They may be heavy going for those not used to rational, logical thought progression, but they ARE worth the effort.

Because of Jesus' claims to be God. In 1 Corinthians15:14 Apostle Paul writes, "And if Christ be not risen, then is our preaching vain, and your faith is also vain." The whole linchpin of Christianity rests on the resurrection of Jesus, the Son of God.

Colossians 1:15 calls Jesus “the image of the invisible God.”

If God is invisible then we cannot see him. But Jesus is the reflection of God, as he possesses the same qualities of his Father. Like you looking at the mirror and seeing yourself....Jesus reflects the same characteristics as God's. Why is it possible? Because Jesus has spend enough time to know God while he was still in heaven (prehuman existence) and he learned from God himself. When Jesus came to earth as man, he showed us what God is like and what he will do come Kingdom reign.

In Christian theology, Jesus is God. Your question is like asking, Why do people try to proof that the President exist by proving George W Bush exist...

I don't have to prove that God or Jesus exist, I can prove more that he does exist than you can try to prove that he don't exist, & I can do that without the bible, What book will you use, now do you want the challenge.
