Let's see, geographically, there is about 5000 mile seperating them. Climate wise, we are talking a jungle in Vietnam versus a desert in Iraq. As far as military policy, it is the same thing. The politicians are not letting the military fight the war the way they need to. If the politicians and the press stayed out, we would have mopped up a long time ago in Iraq. The same for Vietnam. We would have the VC wiped out.
