Shouldn't God be loving His own predestined, adopted children only? He does not give faith to everyone. It would seem to make sense that if God does not love someone, they would not receive Christ, and He would simply leave them in their natural state of rejecting Him.

Bill Mac, "I love you" and "you are judged already", i.e. hell. Who is "the world" that God so loves?

Uncle Thesis, no predestined children? Should we just make corrections to those statements in the Bible then?

We decide? And God wishes, hopes, and has no authority over His creation. But He won't look on us in a loving manner if... You're all over the map on this one.

Yes, it is jumping the gun.
God loves His own, the elect.
Here are just a few things Scripture says about the rest-

Psalm 5:5
The boastful shall not stand in your sight;
You hate all workers of iniquity.

Psalm 11:5
The LORD tests the righteous,
But the wicked and the one who loves
violence His soul hates.

Psalm 7:11
God is a just judge,
And God is angry at the wicked every day.

Isaiah 63:3
"I have trodden the wine press alone,
And from the peoples no one was with Me.
For I have trodden them in My anger,
And trampled them in My fury;
Their blood is sprinkled upon My garments,
And I have stained all my robes.

Praise and thank God for His loving kindness to His elect!

Depending on how well Twilight does in the movies, they might go ahead and make all of them into movies too. I highly doubt it though. - Authors CAN have an influence over the filming of the movie. As an author you sell the rights to the story, however, in selling it you can retain creative rights to it and make certain stipulations. Anne Rice is a good example--she was involved in production of Interview wih a Vampire. Even though she didn't get her way in vetoing Tom Cruise as Lestat, she DID have a say in the movie. - Directors try to work with the authors of the books if the authors are interested or involved, which is not always the case. A good director will work closely with the author in making a movie in order to retain the integrity of the story and the vision that the author first created by writing the book. - I can see the potential to do Breaking Dawn as two movies, but only if Stephenie Meyers expand on the storyline and fills in the holes of the book. In essence, she would re-write it with more detail and a longer time-line.

John 3:16- God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes on Him will not perish but have everlasting life.

2 Peter 3:9- The Lord says that He is not willing that any should perish, but that ALL should come to repentance.

God loves everyone. Some will except that love through Christ, and some will not. In the 2 Peter passage it said ALL should come to repentance. What does all mean? All means all and that is all ALL means.

He knows that some will reject His message of love. He came to seek and save the lost- we are all lost so He can save all, All will not be saved however.= That does not mean the God does not love those people that were not saved. He loved them before they were even born- enough to send His Son to die for them,

The example of Judas, or Jacob and Esau comes to mind.

Rom 9:13
Just as it is written, "JACOB I LOVED, BUT ESAU I HATED."

God is sovereign, and His will is supreme. Some he has created for destruction. He also implies that He loves everyone from the statements such as:

John 3:15-18
so that whoever believes will in Him have eternal life. "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life. "For God did not send the Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world might be saved through Him. "He who believes in Him is not judged; he who does not believe has been judged already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

1 Tim 2:3-6
This is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. For there is one God, and one mediator also between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, who gave Himself as a ransom for all, the testimony given at the proper time.

God is love, and that is His nature. It would be correct then to say, for most people, "God loves you.".

God does not have 'pre-destined' children.
Both Deuteronomy 30:19 and Joshua 24:15 indicate 'CHOICE' is involved.
WE decide to be worshippers of God, or not.
Mind you, opting for God brings responsibility. If we do not accept that responsibility, and still claim to be worshippers of God, He will not look upon us in a very loving manner.

God loves all he created and hopes for the returning to the fold of those who have rejected him thus far. He gives us a whole lifetime to try it on or ouwn and realize we cannot do it without his help. It is his wish that none be lost. And yes he loves us all.

God does love everyone. He would not create people that He did not love. He gave everyone free will. It says in the bible that all the heavens rejoice when one person accepts Jesus as their Savior. Isn't that amazing!!! When I accepted Jesus Christ, the heavens rejoiced. When my friends, family, people everywhere, when just one person accepts, they rejoice in heaven. God loves us so much. But so many people cannot realize it.

Elitist and bigoted thinking like that is what causes war. The case of a man telling "God" what "God" should be thinking. One of the problems of organized, dogmatic, religion.
