What exactly is SLOMING? It stands for "sticking leeches on myself" but do any of u guys do it? I saw it on above the influence comercial, and it looked really gross! What do the leeches do 2 u? What will happen if u decide to do it? I need answers!!

Sweety it was a commercial about kids and smoking weed and why they don't need to do something just because someone else is doing it.

Some people lack iron in their blood, though some people mainly being men get a build up of it which is too large due to something in their genetics that will not correctly process it.
When someone has this problem they must have blood extracted monthly as the iron build up makes them feel weak and sick. Leeches are a tradition used long ago in jungle areas to achieve the same result of withdrawing ones blood when they had no needles to do so.(call it witch doctoring if you like)
It is in essence better than a bulk monthly blood take as when one is feeling weak they can attatch the leeches to their chest - as this is the easisest place to find and retrieve them - aqnd loose the bad blood. They will feel slightly overcome for a short while but not so much as the dizziness experienced when giving the 600ml dose that is normally taken.
People may do this simply out of fear of needles or just to feel more heroic doing things in a ritual way.
The only thing I can not tell you is for what other ailments they need to have blood withdrawn but the rest is truth as I looked into it a while ago out of interest for myself.

Hmmm.. I think you might have missed the point of the commerical. No one is actually doing this, it's just a way of showing you what peer pressure can get people to do.
I do see however that someone mention using leeches for medicinal purposes. This is true, but not related to "sloming"

hahah its just a commercial! they are basically saying weed and drugs all together are stupid so why do it! and with that sticking leaches on yoursefl is stupid too! get it? so if they are both stupid and BAD for your health then why do it in the first place??
leeches can liv in lakes and ponds. (i dont exactly konw the location) but they live by sucking blood.... please dont do it... or drugs for that matter either...
