Can I stop this feature in Word without stopping its other features? (I find the autocorrection of spellings acceptable for example.)

The solutions provided address individual incidents. If the option were available, I wish to permanently set Word to stop underlining repeated words.

Is Word really underlining the second word (an unbroken black underline) or indicating a grammar/spelling problem (a squiggly red underline)? If the latter, you can simply ignore it, as it will not appear in your completed document when you print it. If the former, when you highlight it, the 'U' button in the toolbar above will look as if it is depressed. Clicking on it should remove it.
