Jesus was a very wise and kind human being that the Christian religion was set up for us to emulate.
Then in the 4th - 6th centuries; the religion of Jesus was twisted into the religion about Jesus.
I am NOT Chistian, but I have no problem with the grntle teachings of Jesus; but I have a very hard time believing what some Christians demand that I believe.
So I follow another spirituality that DOES answer my spiritual questions, and do the best I can to live by the two commandments Jesus set up.

Jesus is eternal, he existed with his Father prior to the Earth being created (read John 1). Everything was created through him. Jesus came to Earth to pay for all our sins: past, present, and future. He is not just a man, He is God's son. If you accept him as your personal and sufficient Savior you will have eternal life. NO CONDITIONS! you don't have to crawl on your knees for miles or go killing anyone that doesn't believe. The price for sin is death, we all have to pay for our sins with our lives unless you decide to allow Jesus pay for you.
If you love Jesus you will follow his commandments.

Who is Jesus, very good question, many people of the world over the last 2000 years have ask that very words.. To put an answer out, its simple. Jesus is god in human form. God ask the Jews to give a blood atonement for there sins, so the killed lambs for this to give God the need washing by blood for there sins. But, this only last for one year, the next year they had to repeat the process to ge forgiven. One one person could give the blood for washing our sins away, and that person had to be SIN-LESS. We are under the sins of Adams and Eve, there is nothing we can to about what happen 1000s of years ago. As the children of Adam and Eve, we have the shame of sin on us, but one person can remove that eternal sin, only a sinless person can do what God was asking. God Love us so much, that he was willing to send his Son, Jesus to earth, in human form to give his life for us, to wash the sins away with his blood, the Gift that save you from enternal Hell..Please, read the Bible, become SAVED, your life will change. If you wish to have some information on part of the Bible to read, start with Matthew, you wil need to read the first 4 books of the NT. I hope this answers your questions.

To Islam Jesus is a great prophet. To some Hebrews he was a false prophet. To Christians he was what he said he was, The Son of God

Jesus (hay-sus) and his wife Maria lived down the hall from me when I lived in NYC. Nice couple, Jesus worked in a sweat shop along with his wife. They had three kids.
The man worked hard and long hours, as Maria did, and they were a lovely couple. She could cook! And the kids were smart.
Wonder what they are up to today. If you see them, say hi for me.

Jesus is the only-begotten son of Jehovah God, the Almighty. He existed in heaven before being born to Mary. He died for our sins and was resurrected by his father. He now sits at his Father's right hand, awaiting the time when he is instructed to bring judgment on ungodly humans.
He is neither God himself or part of a trinity. He himself made it very plain he and his father were separate individuals:
"the father is greater than I am"
"I come to do the will of him that SENT me."
Religious leaders never questioned his position. They accused him of blasphemy for declaring he was God's SON. Not God himself.
Finally he is the only means of approach to God in prayer and our means of Salvation.

He's the one if he came back now he would have a lot more than just one temple to destroy for being in the wrong line of work. The church which he founded has been corrupted & turned into one of the most successful buisnesses on earth. He would tear it down & start anew since they still haven't gotten what he was saying.

Jesus is One with God, and came to Earth as God in the flesh, the Messiah, to sacrifice His life as the final bloodsacrifice for the forgiveness of sins.
Only those who accept Him as their Lord and Savior, and take up their cross and follow Him, will enter Heaven. Belief is not enough, for faith without works is dead.

I'm thankful you want to learn about Jesus and Christianity. I hope what I say will be only a first step for you, and that you'll continue to grow in your understanding.
A Christian, very simply, is a person who has decided to be a follower of Jesus Christ. As you may know, Jesus lived in the Middle East about 2,000 years ago, and after preaching and teaching for about three years, He was put on trial and executed by His enemies. The Bible (our source of information about Jesus) tells us that three days later He came back to life by the power of God, and was taken up into Heaven. Someday He will return to conquer evil and rule over everything in perfect justice and love.
What sets Jesus apart from every other religious leader or philosopher? Simply this: The Bible says He was God in human flesh—completely man, but also completely God. He came to earth for one reason: to reconcile us to God. Sin had separated us from God, but Jesus (who was without sin) took all our sins upon Himself, and He died in our place.
Why did He do this? The Bible says the reason is because God loves us, and He wants us to be with Him in Heaven forever. It says, "But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8). I pray that someday soon you too will become Jesus' follower, by giving your life to Him.
