I live here in iloilo city, philippines. I am only twelve, my dad stays in manila for a living, and my mom here in iloilo. its a long story why they are apart. Anyway, i just came back to iloilo today. My grandmother and grandfather, with my tita, and dad live in manila, and i miss so much. Even though i call them, i still feel the same way.

Don't worry. It's natural to miss them. But if you need someone to yell at you, I will volunteer.

I feel sorry for you that you have to be without your family but here is a few things that might help you get over the feeling of missing them so terribly:

If possible call them once a week and tell them about your life. You can also choose to email or write them.

Start a diary where you write down everything you do. You may add drawings, cinema tickets, photos or other things to illustrate your experiences. Give the diary to you family next time you see them.

Have a picture of them on your dresser and send them one of you if they don't have one already. Agree a specific time every day where you and your family look at the photos and think of eachother.

And the very best way to not miss them so much: Go have fun with your friends!

I can feel what u r going through dear, i've been there when i was young too, i think what u should do is keep ur self busy with school home work , studying ,reading useful stuff , listening to music and most importantly meeting and making new friends , go out and have fun ... this will ease the pain ... it worked for me back then.
wish u all the luck Merry Christmas Happy New Year !

You don't have to get over your family. Missing those we love is absolutely normal and love definately is never something to fear or be controlled by anyone. Keep as much contact with them as you can and can make time for...but also take time to make friends, new hobbies, interests, have fun, and spend time with mom etc :)

Its good that you miss them, especially if you were a close family. Just remember you have them, they are still here, and they are here for you if you need them.
