If you were guaranteed a state of total happiness and freedom from pain, fear, anger, and jealousy, could you give up everything? By everything I mean your car, house, bank account, perfect credit, family and friends, your job, all of it. If you could not give up something for this happiness, what is it and why?

Being forgiven of your sins and knowing God and having Him in your heart is all that is requird. Everything else will be added by Him. Blessed asurance is the only thing that will and keep you happy. Times will be hard in life that is a fact, but you have to look beyond the flesh life and see the Spiritual. A man/woman W/O God is lost and will never achieve happiness in this life.
"but seek ye first the kingdom of God, and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you" Matthew 6:33

I would equate state of happiness with the state of unconditional love of father and for that I would give up everything here(earth) in a blink. It is not about here, this place is a test. what is your nature, do you choose love/fellowship/empathy or dominion "playing the game" controling others/evil. which side weighs the most at your judgement(death) that is where you will end up, back to father or back to?

Prolonged happiness is almost an impossibility. Even one
renounces every material thing on earth, so long one is alive
total happiness is impossible. But high percentage of happiness is achievable through renunciation.
Only a dead man is a demand less man.

Having the real happiness is nothing in return, if you talked about giving something like cars it is mostly called materials happiness! Simple if you believe that you have God you surrender yourself to him and he will give you happiness for ever!
I read the book title " THE PURPOSE OF DRIVEN LIFE"
it really helps me a lot more on how i handle my happiness!

For my own happiness I'll trade it with peace of mind for all living beings, for others' happiness i'll trade everything else:) Good Day!
