Why would you bother? There is no God and you'd be wasting your time.

Is it easy for any person, come to that? There is one thing which you may be certain of and that is the fact that God wants you to come to Him, to trust Him and to know Jesus as your Saviour. He knows of your condition and of your problems and He has a place for you. You are greatly loved by Him. Do not let anyone or anything keep you away from your loving Heavenly Father, Who welcomes you into His family.

I have Aspergers and it doesn't affect me in theology, in fact it gifts me in a way because it affords me the change to study religion in depth and understand all the complex theology, and since I love history and learned Greek, I am able to understand what is clearly manmade and what is Divine. Aspergers, when utilized properly, can be a great gift. The only downside is a total lack of friendships, which does hurt but I've learned to adapt and find pleasure in material things rather than people.

It is not easier or harder than anyone else because it is a spiritual matter and not intellectual. If a person is open to God and can sense His presence and influence in their life they can certainly trust God. Aspergers people are usually very studious and given a Bible they would enjoy the challenge of piecing together the history line but may struggle with the metaphors on a surface level. They will need to rely on God for more revelation. God is aware of the need and and you can trust Him to speak in a way the aspergers persons will understand.

To believe in God or a god - perhaps no. To believe in some of the doctrine - ie the Trinity etc - this may be harder. But it may be some conciliation to the person with AS that even neurotypical people have difficulty really believing or understanding some concepts in Christianity.

If you believe in God and trust Jesus Christ as your Saviour He will forgive you of your sins. Nothing is too difficult for him. He can help you to come to terms with your problem - Just trust and believe.
Find a good Church and talk to other Christians if you can. Explain your worries.
I will pray for you.

One of my best friends has Aspergers has a definite belief in God. He was raised Catholic; and is no longer a practising Catholic. He is a shaman but his belief in a higher power is absolute.

absolutely...so......

when i was reading about it before i answered, i almost thought i was reading about myself and my son....while not a 100% match to all "symptoms" ..when i was growing up, no one had ever heard of this... and when i was raising my son, i did not know anything about it. so we pushed forward in life, and did our best.

Life is not easy..but we are ok...i do not agree that it is neurological only in origin....if you look closely it also sounds like the child is depressed and traumatized, socially withdrawn, but can be very bright. Sometimes, individuals like these are more prone to have a relationship with God than others, who are highly socialized and have little time for God in their routines.

this kind of person will feel a deeper need to be close to God than other people..because there is a void there that needs to be filled...this person, no matter how they seem to act to others, will still have feelings and need to be loved...God can fill that need...and Jesus will be welcome as savior

Yes, it's harder to blindly follow because they have difficulty piecing things together as well as anyone else. With nothing to see as proof, they tend not to accept fairy stories as easily, and the logic of seeing many, many religions all preaching their own thing and preaching doom to nonfollowers pretty much finishes it off for them due to the highly logical way their mind works.
