The photo`s were taken with a digital camera, the size of the printed photo`s are 640x480. in the past they have been alright it has just started, any help would be great, thanks.

Quite often a cartridge will loose ink onto the paper feed roller or the strip of metal holding it down. This is usually due to apparently printing a picture too large for the paper fed to the printer which leaves ink behind. Try cleaning any contact parts with a paper towel until no ink comes off anything.
Another problem is that when the printer goes through a start up or clean cycle ink is lost into a sponge or similar at the end of its travel. If this gets soaked ink get sloshed about - to use a technical term! - and dragged back by the cartrige onto the print. Try getting some of the ink off the sponge by dabbing it with tissues.

Not sure what printer you have, but there are a number of things to check. First, you may need to replace the cartridge. If the cartridge is relatively new, do some printer tests. Go into control panel, printers, properties and do a print head test. After doing tests, if the issue is not resolved, you may need to just manually clean off the printer cartridge with a damp paper towel. Make sure there is no residue that is caked on it.

If this is a straight line and always in the same place then it may be the guide roller on your printer, this could be caused by using ink that is not recommended (not drying fast enough) or inferior paper stock (not absorbing the ink).
Try cleaning the rollers and improving the stock of your consumables

Perhaps you need to replace the ink cartridge.

See if your printer driver has any diagnostic utilities and try to run whatever tests you can.

You must have been refilling your ink cartridges, which block the print head. Buy original ink cartridge.
