The benefit, it you can call it that, is that it creates a situation in your system that will pre-digest, if you will, all you have eaten, in other words you can't absorb calories....the down side is, it will catch up to you when you are older. I did it, a gulp or two after eating and now have problems that are not going to be able to be fixed, I would rather be fat....I have two children and some days I can not even get out of bed because my body is shot, I look 20 years older than I am and can not function, don't do it, please, it will only hurt you....good luck
