Hi! once even my hair was rough & curly. But then i opted for hair softening, and now my hair is relatively very soft & smooth.
But i would recommend hair softening only if u are willing to spend a considerable amount of money. Otherwise, the best alternative is to use a good conditioner, which suits your hair type. Try out Garnier or L'oreal conditioners.
And regarding ur dandruff problem, u could try out some good & effective anti-dandruff shampoo. Maybe Garnier or Head & Shoulders.
Hope u hav Good Hair Days in the future!!

Apply a smoothing serum (I use a quarter-size amount and I have lots of thick, wavy hair; paul mitchell has Quickslip as well as a smoothing serum)...before using a heat-styling tool like a blow dryer while round-brushing it. Or, you can use a hot iron after a little bit of blow-drying...the product always helps to smooth it out.
For the dandruff, try alternating your shampoos once in a while; don't stick with the same one. I'm not a stylist but my hair has always done well with this regimen.

use a dandruff shapoo for a while to cure that and then use a good conditioner regularly to go with your hair type, so for curly hair, it'll take a while but it will work. Iv never tried it but my cuz uses hair masks, makes her hair really shinny

Dandruff treatment using Fenugreek Seeds
The use of fenugreek seeds is one of the most important remedies in the treatment of dandruff. Two tablespoons of these seeds should be soaked overnight in water and ground into a fine paste in the morning. This paste should be applied all over the scalp and left for half an hour. The hair should then be washed thoroughly with soap-nut (ritha) solution or shikakai.
Dandruff treatment using Lime
The use of a teaspoon of fresh lime juice for the last rinse, while washing the hair, is another useful remedy. This not only leaves the hair glowing but also removes stickiness and prevents dandruff.
Dandruff treatment using Green Gram Powder
A valuable prescription for removal of dandruff is the use of green gram powder. The hair should be washed twice a week with two tablespoons of this powder mixed with half a cup of curd.
Dandruff treatment using Beet
Beets have been found useful in dandruff. Both tops and roots should be boiled in water and this water should be massaged into the scalp with the finger tips every night. White beet is better for this purpose.
Dandruff treatment using Snake Gourd
The juice of snake gourd has been found beneficial in the prevention and treatment of dandruff. The juice should be rubbed over the scalp for this purpose.
Dandruff treatment using Other Remedies
Dandruff can be removed by massaging the hair for half an hour with curd which has been kept in the open for three days, or with a few drops of lime juice mixed with amla juice every night, before going to bed. Another measure which helps to counteract dandruff is to dilute cider vinegar with an equal quantity of water and dab this on to the hair with cotton wool inbetween shampooing. Cider vinegar added to the final rinsing water after shampooing also helps to disperse dandruff
Save money and give yourself a break from the chemicals found in most hair care products by using the following natural home remedies for your hair.
Tame your frizzy hair by rubbing coconut oil into your hands and applying sparingly onto your hair. You don't want to overdo it - too much will make your hair look greasy. Shampooing your hair less frequently also helps with the frizzies. Excess shampooing strips natural oils from the hair.
Rinse your hair with baking soda to get rid of shampoo build-up and styling residues. Rinsing your hair with lemon juice is said to bring life and shine back to dull hair. Apple cider vinegar mixed with water will give your hair shine and bounce.
Add essential oil of ylang ylang to your shampoo, conditioner and styling agents as a hair rejuvenator. Ylang ylang and rosemary essential oils are also believed to stimulate hair growth.
Drinking plenty of water and eating plenty of raw fruits and vegetables is probably the best way to achieving healthy hair. What goes into your body is reflective on the outside including your hair.
