The bread crumbs in the store that you buy, that come in the tall can. 'Italian Seasoned'. Do these type of bread crumbs go bad? If they do any idea about how long they can last? There is no date on them, i actually have 2 seperate ones. They have been kept stored with the plastic cap on it, but they are opened from the actual seal on the inside and am unsure. I have had these for quite some time and am wondering if i can use them in a baking recipe. Thanks in advance =)

The amount of bread crumbs on that chicken is negligible, and baking is a healthy choice. I wouldn't worry about it if I were you.

Yes, they can go bad. Bred crumbs can be used approximately 6 months if stored properly (dry and cold place)

have never heard of that brand in Australia, but all foods can go bad. as soon as I buy my breadcrumbs, I date and put in freezer for up to a year, then discard if any left, but usually only buy size I know I will need in that time frame. If in doubt, always throw away.

Its best to store them in a dry and cool place after opening the can. [fridge shelf].
If they do not show any sign of mould or bacteria or discoloration [greenish'] , then they shd be ok for use.
Also check if there is no foul odour emanating from them.

Keep the unused portion in the refrigerator. They should have an expiry date as well. Good luck!
