I have a crush on ********. He looks at me with these sleepy eyes right before he hugs me. Sometimes, he grabs me and pulls me into an embrace. We say "I Love You" to each other, but we're not dating. People that know us call us lovers. I swear I can't tell the difference between friends and want to be more than friends!
I kissed him on Christmas Eve and he said he didn't expect it! He is so low key that sometimes I think he doesn't care, then he fusses later that I didn't spend enough time with him. ( I walked off and left him standing alone the other day!)

LOL ... interesting question. You did fine, since he didnt strongly objected against it.
Its kinda difficult to open a guy who is tough as a nut, but dont despair, he will say something sooner or later.
Those kinds of guys always want to admit their true emotions, but either they are afraid of getting hurt or just dont feel like sharing them, you know ... whats mine is mine lol.
Make him feel comfortable in your company. Whenever a question appears that sounds so difficult to answer for him, just swipe it from the list and say something like " its ok, you dont have to answer it " . Pushing wont do, but overgrown patience aint it too so here is my point:
- Make him feel nice and supportive in your nearby surrouding, he will admit all you wanna know when he sees that you can understand him
- Dont wait for him to make the first move, you make it. That way he will see that you are brave and alright
- When he starts to meld into the answers and let go, ask him the reasons for his behavior when you kissed him. That way you will find out what he fears and what he dislikes.

how can u tell a guy i love u, but not being in a relationship? u should talk to him and find out where u guys are standing..are u in a relationship or not? are u friends? u should find out what do u mean to him and what's the next step...and u can realize when a guy it's seductive when he gives u "the look" and touches u in a special way ;)

If a guy really wants you, he'll let you know. That's what I feel. I mean we girls love to help guys make excuses for their actions. Yeah, there was one comment earlier, a guy that said that if he really liked you he'd be all over you or something. I think that is true.
It's actually simple, really. Guys like you, they will chase you and treat you nice. Super simple.

The answer is very simple. Ask him straight how you stand with him. Tell him what he means by saying "I love you". Is it " I love you " as a friend? or "I love you" as a romantic partner. Only he can clarify these points. Good luck!
