Hi!Dear,
i like your thoughts...to own a dog. As per your imformation you are 2 little to handle the dog with your school timing... dogs need so much care when they are small. acording to me you should go for your studies first and as you love dogs when ever you get time go for a walk and feed some street dogs... i m doing it its to good to give them your love and get their pure love ... try it.. you will enjoy......
if u have more quations sent me on id. leo_2622@indiaties.com
Regards,
Mahendra.

This looks just like my case sme years back.. i too wanted to get a *****.. but as i was sent to hostel, i wasnt able to..
My suggestion is that if and only if u can take good care of the dog, u go for it. Its true that pups need lot of care and if u dont pay proper attention, the consequences cud be bad.. so wait for an year or 2 and get a nice pup when you can really spend time with it...

i think that you should wait to take on that kind of responsibility. you should only get an animal when you are ready for one. getting a dog just because you want one is selfish. when the time is right, get one spend time training it properly and to give it the love and attention that it needs. a puppy is just like a baby. make time for it to show it you love it.
i had a friend who really wanted to get an expensive dog. she wound up getting a beautiful Afghan pup. those dogs like any other can be very rambunctious. she worked a lot and didn't have time to care for it. it grew up quick and every day when she came home form work, something else was chewed up, pooped or peed on, and the dog wound up costing more in replacing things than its own fancy price tag. her hair got really matted and she looked like a mutt. imaging a quality dog like an Afghan looking like a mutt with no manners, just think hard about this decision kiddo. you'll do the right thing if it's really what you want.

I love dogs too, but you do not have the time yet for one. You are thinking about the fun and love of a puppy but not thinking about all the time the puppy will be alone! I got a puppy years ago and was in your situation, and it was a mistake! It is not fun to come home to poo and pee all over the place, plus having your personal items chewed up! Dogs need a place to run and time to spend with their master, so hopefully in the future you will have that chance. Good luck and happy holidays!

I love dogs too very much. If u take a pup now, it is going to be very difficult for u. U have to take the rensponsibility of a pup, think about it. At starting a pup would always like to be with u. You can't leave it alone. If u will not be with it, it cannot adjust with u. It is a good thought of taking a pup but take it when you have someone to take care of it in ur home.

Training a puppy takes a lot of your time which you don't have. An alternative could be you give a visit to your nearest SPCA and get a dog that will suit your lifestyle. At least an adult dog is clean and could stay alone longer than a puppy.

You have no time for a dog so you answered your own question. Puppies take a lot of time and effort. You have no time to make the effort. I say get a gold fish because it takes very little effort to keep. If you want some one to keep you company talk to your friends and study.

You have to think a lot about the pros and cons of having a puppy. If you are really worried that a puppy/dog will disrupt your studies then you probably shouldn't get one. Although you may be a responsibile person you have to remember what really important which is apparently your studies and how it will work out if you are really in school studying for your exams and how that will effect the puppy.
I currently am in school now and I have 2 dogs. My older dog keeps to herself; however during the time I had her I could not afford a dog walker, so I would have to come home during a course break just to walk her and make sure she was okay and leave to go back to school. My school was partially effective because I occasionally got stuck in traffic on the way back to school and was late for my course. I can also remember the times when I had an emergency vet appointment and I had to drive from m school 45 minutes north to the vet and back and I couldn't drop her off and I felt like the guiltiest pet owner becaus eI had to keep her in my car. Thankfully it was a beautiful day out, but every 10 minutes I had to leave class to check up on her and go back. Was it a mistake to me, no. I knew things like this may occur and I was prepared for her, especially since we've been together for 2 years.
Now I have a puppy and her. I cannot leave the puppy alone for more than 4 hours. Even during the 4 hour window I come home a lot to pee/poop on the floor and I have to clean it up, and take both dogs out, feed both dogs. One day I came home to poop all over the bathroom (she stepped in it then tracked it all over the floor) my boyfriend wasn't too thrilled in fact he was upset. Me (I was tired with a headache) and I just simply cleaned it up laughing because my puppy is a riot, she's cute.
But dogs definately do disrput studies, she didnt do any damage to my schooling personally. I know when I have papers do or have to study for something I can't just sit and study because she wants to play and have fun. So I have to play with her, keep her entertained, and come back when she's napping to study or type up a paper. I just have to really plan out things. Now she's getting older and she naps a whole lot more which is good for me @ times.
Then there is the vet bills, grooming bills, food, toys, and the messes you have to clean up. It can be costly. I know my vet bills aren't cheap, especially when emergencies pop up. I had to have x-rays done on my dog because I did not know why she was yelping when I touched her leg in a specific area (arthritis) and my puppy couldn't walk on all her legs (sprain in her leg). So
Honestly perhaps you should wait. What happens when you get a dog and you want to go out and hang out with your friends? What about when you finish school and perhaps want to work or persue higher education? If you answer well I rather go out with my friends or I want to work full time/go to university. Then you should wait to have a dog.

Focus on your education for the moment. You can always buy a pup, but you can say the same about education. So, beat out your passions and wants and desires and stay focussed on your goal. Wait until you have enough time to devote yourself to the pups and then buy it. Focus on your education now...just focus on that !!
