I'm NOT a doc, so don't take this as gospel, but I do have kids and sisters. As long as the airways aren't blocked - he can breathe properly, and doesn't appear sick, it will flow out of the colon in about 24 hours. My sister swallowed a nickel, so we had to all watch every time she went to the bathroom - 5 cents was big money in those days!! She's fine, and kids tend to put a lot of things in their mouths. Good Luck!! If you're worried, have them take a look at him in the ER, and do an Xray.

Yes, just to be safe. Many children swallow strange abjects when their young. some of which, though they dont choke on it, can damage their intestines. A doctor can tell you, for sure, if he'll be okay. I reckon that it'll pass in a few days. Good luck with that.

well...if he didn't experienced breathing difficulty, vomiting or pain, that means it passed to the gastrointestinal tract safely but...you need to take an x-ray to the abdomen to confirm that. and they probably take another one after 3 days to make sure that it went out of his body. take him and get an x-ray now and after 3 days if no symptoms appear but if he just said there is a pain...take him immediately because some of them might be toxic. wish him a good health

as long as they are not having any trouble breathing, coughing or wheezing, drooling excessively, vomiting or complaining of pain....You should be fine to wait and call your pediatrician first thing in the morning. They may order an x-ray or let it pass naturally.

NO, wait for the plink sound when his turds hit the toilet bowl. Then you'll know it has come out of his system.
