If you can afford it, hire a private detective. Make sure you visit reputable firm of private eye's - you'll find them in local yellow pages. Get a price per day before you pay any money and agree on it or not etc. Make sure you've got that on paper.

try a private eye, someone like magnum or jim rockford cos they know people down at the police precinct. I think hetty wainthropp is still going but jeffery her junior sidekick is now in `lost` so she may not have the scooter anymore.
