Does a bear make big turds in the woods? OF COURSE IT IS! The results of 1939's denials from the West will look like church social if Iran uses a nuclear bomb, and they will if not stopped. Civilization as we know it will cease to exist. Israel will not go into oblivion without taking out Tehran nor should they. The nuclear fallout will kill uncounted millions EVERYWHERE not just there.
50% of the worlds energy supply would be knocked out in a flash and radioactive for a generation. Famine will follow. Disease will follow that. God help us.....

Is this 1939? - you decide.

2005 President, Khatami, an Iranian moderate who had cooperated with the US in the war against the Taliban, is replaced by Ahmadinejad. For the first time in years, a high ranking Iranian official, President Ahmadinejad, calls for the eradication of Israel. (Iran is really ruled by a council of mullahs. but Ahmadinejad speaks for the government even though he is not the head guy).

2005-6 Iran publicly begins weapons grade enrichment. The CIA and the IAEA say they are 4-6 years away from having a nuclear weapon. Iran denies the weapons program, and is mildly sanctioned by the UN.

Nov 2006 -Ahmadinejad holds his holocaust denial conference with about 75 guests present. Later that week, Ahmadinejad's party is defeated in local elections, the result of citizen dissatisfaction with his fiery confrontations with the west and failure to deliver on his domestic promises. The people elect more moderates.

Dec 2006 Iran announces it will continue its nuclear program.
By 1939, Germany had annexed Austria and invaded Poland. Anti-Semitic laws had stripped Jews of all civil rights and their citizenship. Kristallnacht riots had destroyed Jewish stores and institutions, children were expelled from school, Jews in Austria and Germany forfeited their businesses, were kicked out of their homes and dispossessed. At least 2 concentration camps, Dachau and Buchenwald, were in operation and Jews were starved and used as slave labor.

The Iranian leadership is evil. The theocratic leaders would love nothing more than to see to the destruction and total wiping off the map of Israel and anyone who ever supported Israels right to exist. For this reason alone, in my view, they are evil. The radical Islamic movement has no wish to live and let live, no desire to allow any other ideology to exist. Convert or die. Period.

THIS reason is why America is in Iraq. It is not for oil, although it will be a by-product benefiting the west, it is not to avenge Saddam's assassination attempts on the elder Bush, it isn't to have toppled Saddam although that also was a side benefit. We are there to end the root of terrorism in the world and thereby ending the radical Islamic movement. A continuation of the crusades. Hopefully, an end to this lunacy of radical Islam.

Are they evil? Yes. The citizens for the most part want nothing different than we do. But having our presence strongly felt in the ME will cause the downfall of the government of Iran from within. Now...we shall see if we will allow our military to do what they are there to do, or if we will lose our nerve and slink away in the cowardly fashion dictated by many in the very public media.

I think that depends on where you stand, if you are American I don't think it will make any difference , if you are Israeli you might want to think about making peace or at lease pull in your horns and stop bullying and killing Arabs just for the pleasure of it,
If Iran is successful in obtaining nukes there might be a more level playing field and a little more caution may be of more importance,
