Depends on where you get your tattoo. Just make sure you keep it protected and it doesn't rub on anything. You will need to keep it protected. Tattoo goo is good for dressing a fresh tattoo, along with a good piece of Telfa to keep the tattoo from oozing into your clothes.

Yes, you can absolutley work your butt off after your tattoo, however do NOT swim or spend time in sauna's or hot tub's, this is not a hygeine issue, rather it is the bleaching effect of the chlorinated water that is the issue here! The Tattoo is below the skin level so rubbing is not an issue, the tattoo must be kept moist with a cream such as Bepanthen or Savlon or I beleive in the states their is a substance called Tattoo Goo. This is to prevent excessive scabbing. Do NOT pick the scabs that form, if it itches apply more cream, itching is a sign that it's healing. If you pull the scabbing off, you will remove pigment with it. This will give your Tattoo a patchy look when healed, this is most often unfairly blamed on the artist. Keep it clean, wash it 3 times a day GENTLY and PAT DRY do not rub, this will remove scabbing. If this all sounds like too much effort, remember this, what you are undertaking is permanent NOT TRENDY.
Finally Enjoy your PERMANENT BODY MODIFICATION,

Depends where on your body you get the tattoo, but you need to remember that until it heals, it's basically an open wound. It the tattoo is near a joint (like the ankle), the skin will feel very tight and not flexable for a few days. Sweat will irritate it, and if the scab gets torn or rubbed off, it might damage the ink.
The best thing to do is give the tattoo a few days to begin healing, and then to be very careful when working out so that the healing skin is not scratched or pulled.

i don't think it matters, unless you have a plan in effect already to lose weight, or gain muscle. if you are happy with the size that you are, then i wouldn't worry about hitting the gym solely for the tattoo. if i were you, i would just make sure that after i got the tattoo, that i maintained my weight, and not gain, or lose, so that i wouldn't risk distorting the tattoo.

I guess you can go to the gym! Keep it clean and covered! you don't want things in your tattoo that might get it infected! make sure you rest before you start going back to the gym! make sure nothing rubs on it! In my opinion wait until after it heals a bit like the scabs have fallin off maybe around two weeks though! just to be really safe but if you want to work out thats bad just go ahead i guess!

Sure, as long as you keep it covered and it's not rubbing against anything and getting irritated or ruined. And stay out of the water with it also. You don't want to get it infected or spread infection. You can do whatever you want after a tattoo.(depends on where it's located) lol
Hope this helps and good luck!

i never went back to the gym until my tattoo was healed. but it depends on where your tattoo is. i have some on my feet, which prevents me from wearing shoes. also on my back which just made it uncomfortable to do situps and wear a sports bra. so i guess depending on where you get it... as long as you will be comfortable working out you should be fine. but you should immediately wash the tattoo with anti-bacterial soap after working out.
