I was reading a supposedly true story about this somewhere but it didn't really go into detail so I was just curious as to why a person would risk their family and fight the demon/poltergeist?

Because they all know there's no such as a ghost?

And the price is really cheap because others are scared of the superstition????

It all depends on what they do. You did not provide sufficient details.

The Family could get a kahuna (such as myself), a shaman, or a Catholic priest to drive out the negative Entities.

I have done more exorcisms and house blessings than I care to remember in the last 41 years, and I have taught people via E-Mail how to drive them out of people and houses.

The late Father Malachi Martin (Catholic exorcist, and served in the Vatican and advised two popes), and I were friends for the last few years of his life.

Over the years I have learned how to do exorcisms in several ways that was used by assorted cultures.
