Personally, I think it comes from being sympathetic to myself, lowering my expectations, having a sense of humor, and being thankful for what little I have. Maybe also seeing that I'm not alone and that others are hurting in the same way gives me hope, knowing that love is the great healer.

Few things you can do to get out of depression:

1. Open Yourself To New Possibilities

2. Go Out and Help Someone Else Feel Better

3. Get Involved in Physical Activity

4. If You're In a Depressing Relationship, Get Out of It

5. Fill Your Life With Life-Enriching Activities

You can get out of depression only if you seriously attempt at doing so!!!

oh my goodness, DO NOT litsten to most of these people. i have depression and the only way to deal with it and get out of it is to go see a psychologist or a social worker. if you believe you need medicine (i dont take any, and i am doing great after a year of being in conseling) then they will refer you to a psychiatrist. i would suggest not taking any medicine until you get to the root of your depression and find out if you can deal with it by yourself. medicine is NOT always the answer. you will also need a good support group or friends. dont try to keep anything in anymore. tell the truth, cry when you feel like it, and let it all out when you need to!! dont be scared, just do it. holding things in only make s the depression worse. but please go get help and if you know the Lord go to Church more often, if not i would suggest going to Church and finding the Lord, He will make everything better, He loves you and it saddens Him to see you in depression. He loves you and is there to help YOU!!

You have to talk to someone on the regular basis. You should seek medical help or a psychologist if you want talk to them because it's a process to get through deprssion. You can't expect it to go away over night, and there is always the chance of it reoccuring again and again (episodes).

I personally have reoccuring depression since I was younger and just now i'm learning how to deal with it by talking with a therapist and it's a process. They helping me to learn how to cope with different situations and to help me get through a lot. I don't think taking an anti-deprassant is the cure for depression (which I don't take) instead by talking to someone or if you must take anti-depressants to take them and talk with someone @ the same time. Good Luck.

Depression is a medical condition for many people. If your symptoms of depression have lasted for more than a few weeks, you most likely need medical help. See a psychiatrist or psychologist. Most people benefit most from a combination of medication and counseling, but either one of those is better than nothing.

Healthy diet, omega3 fatty acids, exercise, St. John's Wort, and if necessary, therapy and/or paxil/prozac/welbutrin (pick one). Most people don't need the drugs, but unfortunately for some, it's the only way to have a normal life.

Be with the people you like. Sometimes you don't want to see anybody but then you have to choose people that makes you laughing and don't ask you what is your problem unless you don't what to talk about it. Don' t isolate your self from surrounding
