los angeles has a 2 hr difference from texas. so if youre 3:38 ..LA is 1:38

1:38 (Pacific Time.) Or 7:00 (Central Time) in Texas when it's 5:00 (Pacific Time) in California.
Unless you are in El Paso, which is on Mountain Time.
