To reset your circadian clock takes about 3 days. It is easier to adjust it to a later bedtime than an earlier one. What I would do is on my Friday I would stay up (with maybe a short nap) until Midnight, then go to bed, do it the next night, and the next night you should be able to fall asleep pretty easily when you get home from work.
HTH, Good luck!

i had the same trouble last semester when i was having my holidays...i used to sleep whole day and after the school started it affected and messed my whole system up. What you can do is that after getting home around midnight skip the meal and just have a warm drink maybe milk or very little food to make you feel not too hungry. Don't watch the t.v and straight go to bed. First night would be horrible as you won't be able to sleep right away as the old habit has already kicked in...so you have to keep the eyes closed no matter what and keep counting sheep until you feel sleepy...on the following morning wake up early. set the alarm clock and do get up early, and don't sleep the whole day...you may do something interesting to keep you awake..you would be sleepy than at night....it would take few days to be accustomed with the new habit but it would worth the effort. Good luck to you.

Either don't eat anything when you get home, or eat a lot.
Eating a lot will get you bloated, which will make you tired.
Not eating won't give you extra energy to stay up as long.
I would go with the latter, since eating right before you sleep is bad for you.
When watching TV, try to watch something boring.
You will feel tired and want to go to sleep!

Don't eat when you get home so late. You just fed the furnace in your body by eating so it wants to be active to burn just what you ate. Also force your self to sleep, listen to music that makes you tired.Watching TV makes your mind awake and you start to think about things.Get on this sight and write a bunch of letters to people and you will get tired. As I am getting now.

Plan your schedule. when you started sleeping untimely it was not in your habit but slowly you got this habit same way you organize yourself so that you get proper time for sleep as well as enough time to do your studies.
