December 21st, 2012 is the last day of the Mayan calendar. Personally, I don't believe in the rapture and all that. I don't believe that world is going to implode, or that we just disappear. That's why I find it so damn funny that people are freaking out over a date six years from now.

No, it may happen long before that time, and your bomb shelter will not protect youso building it would be a waste of time for you, you are not stupid infact to prepare for something in advance is the way we should do, but are you preparing in the right way? The best way to prepare for living is to learn all you can that really will help you to be ready to face what happens in this way you will have more of a chance to truly save your lifeand then you can put that knowledge into practice that is the true wisdom because it will help you save yourself and maybe your family also! and Jehovah's Witnesses do not Tell you the date of when the end of this system will be because they do not know just like any other person does not know not even Jesus knows,but we can know that it is near because of the things that are going on in the world, but to listen to Jehovah's witnesses would not be a bad idea because they are the ones who have the answers because they know their Bible well, and the Bible is where you can get the true Wisdom from God and therefore be able to truly get ready for what ever happens in these last days and not be terrified of these things that are going on!

Nope.
The Earth rotates around the sun, and the solar system rotates around the Milky way galaxy.
The solar system goes through cycles where the solar system goes above and below the plane of the milkyway galaxy (much like the old biorhythm charts from the 70s and 80s.
The solar system crosses the plane of the milky way galaxy roughly every 11,500 years.
The end of the Mayan calendar only means the end of the current cycle and the beginning of another cycle.
Nothing to worry about.

If people did their research instead of succumbing to drama, they would know what was going on. I've probably posted it 500 times. But truth is boring.

It seems that people have been setting dates for centuries. The one for sure thing in Christianity is that we do not know the date so if someone made a big deal about a date I would think that was a safe day to not worry about the rapture. :)

You never know. The Mayans had the most accurate calendar that has ever existed. If they did forsee the end of the world, you can bet they'd have the date right.
