It's not illegal to be in love - love knows no laws and no boundaries.

How can loving someone be illegal? Even he is 5 years older.

You have left out some crucial information... how old you are. Had you stated your age, I could tell you some interesting news. Most states allow you to get married with one parent's consent after age 16. Some states allow you to get married with both parent's consent and/or court approval at age 14.

Maybe you can get married and then being with that person wouldn't be illegal.

If you are under 14, you're probably not going to get your way but let me just tell you that Loretta Lynn got married several months before her 14th birthday to Doolittle Lynn and they were married until he died in 1996... I think their marriage lasted 49 years.

Either wait or just don't have sex. If you are in fact all that worried about being a perfectly law abiding citizen that is most girls dont care. then they tell their friends they had sex with soinso them their friends tell their mothers then their friends mothers tell your mother then that guy if he was in fact stupid enough to have sex with you at such a young age is in prision for the next 10 years with maybe getting out in 7 for good behavior and the end result would be you would have to wait a whole lot longer after that.Just do what ever you want I hope it works out for you though?

The guy I'm dating at the moment is 5 years older than me too. I think it's best to be perfectly honest about whatever you two decide to do. Just don't do anything you might regret later.

THis is coming from a guy,

If one of you is under 18 and one if you is over 18 then it is illegal. if you "do anything" If mommy and daddy find out he'd go to jail, I know cause i ahve two aqaintances of mine that have gotten in trouble with that one.

THe crime is called contributing to the sexual delinquency of a minor a felony

As long as you are18 or over it is questionable but legal. If you are 16 and he is 21 then all i can say is he better not get caught.

If you want to have a chance, leave him alone until you are no longer jail bait. It's hard to enjoy being with your man if he's in prison for statutory rape!

As long as your not having sex, it should be alright. Just hold off on the sex til it is legal. BTW, you didn't mention your or his age.
