Hey the navel is a part of the food tube connecting the baby with the mother for nutrition..after birth, this tube is cut, resulting in the navel... (i think i have not put it rightly, but thats the gist of it)

Thats how we got our nutrients when we were in our mothers womb, thorugh he umbilical cord that ends up being our navel.

It is where your umbilical cord was when your mother was pregnant with you. It was your lifeline to your Mother. The umbilical cord passes nutrients back and forth between mother and baby.
