Inmy opinion, teaching the people formally aswellas informally is better such as planting trees instead of more cutting to use for furniture or fuel wood, not to mix industrial wastage into rivers or fresh water bodies, changing the traditional way of farming in to modern one specially in developing nations, above all to make our environment sustainable is burning issue of the time.

What exactly are you trying to save? Naturally we want to maintain as healthy an environment for people to live in as possible. But this means less pollution, particularly less smog causing chemicals. Did you know that a large part of photochemical smog are the Volatile Organic Compounds that come from trees? Water pollution is also very important. But most people confuse this with Conserving Nature. A very different thing and often at odds with improving the environment for humans. Humans are better off if they have complete access to Natural or Conservation Areas. Conservationists often want to keep them out. I liked the late Steve Irwin's idea that man was part of Nature and as such should be in it and handle it. I suggest that you sort out just what it is you want. Then you can worry about awareness.

Well, there are a number of things that can be done to create awareness. If your neighborhood doesn't already have a recycling drive, you could start one. Also, you could hand out information about global warming to educate people about it's effects. If you need more information, then just go to:
