May I clear away these trashes?


(I'm a foreigner...I'm working ia a restaurant.)

No. You could say, "May I take your plate?" or "Are you finished with this dish?" or "May I clear your place?"

If you want to use the word "trash," it's "this trash" not "these trashes."

I think the safest thing to say is simply: "May I clear, please?"
The diners are not concerned with what you are clearing and if there is anything they want to hang on to, they will make it clear. "Trash" is an American term meaning rubbish and it is always used in the singular. I think it is inappropriate in a dining context, where everything has to be perfect!

Trash is garbage to me (At least where I live, in NZ, it means rubbish ^_^)
I'm guessing you're refering to the plates on the table...?
In that case, I agree with the first person- "May I clear these dishes/plates away?"
You could also say "Would you like me to clear these(the plates) away for you?"

Iris is correct on her answer above. "May I take your plate" "Are you finished with this dish" "May I clear your place". It would be this thrash" not "these trashes"..

a bit wrong, but it would be better to say " May i clear your dishes? "
that sounds better.
