By law all vets need to provide emergency cover for their clients, even if it is an out-of-hours service at another practice. if you phone your vet there should either be someone available for advice or they should give you a number to call for emergencies. If you cannot get hold of anyone at your vet get the yellow pages out! I wouldn't expect to find a vet open for business as normal, vets get bank holidays too! Also expect higher fees on bank holidays.

Hi Sean/Sophie...I just read your other question regarding your cat accidentally urinating on the bed, etc. Lower urinary tract disorders are only considered life-threatening when a cat cannot urinate. Since your cat is able urinate this you can wait until tomorrow to see a vet.

If you would like to locate an ER vet tonight you can find one by typing in the Google search field "24 hour veterinary [type your city here]" and then hit return to see the results. If you ring them they will also tell you (if they are honest) that your cat can wait until tomorrow based on some questions to determine if your cat's infection is life-threatening. ER Vets expect at least $300+ depending on where you are located to receive treatment.

Wait until tomorrow if it is not a serious infection. If worried give her an antibiotic like Ampicillin while waiting until you can bring her to the vet. Today or tomorrow does not make much difference if it isnot a threatening infection

411 for info but it's going to cost you If you find one It will be as an Emergency case. I think you should reconsider if it's not life threatening wait it out. Or pay the price. Good Luck to you and Kitty.

Look in your phone book for vets with emergency lines. If you call them, they'll get back to you shortly.
