There is this boy I liked then we started hanging out alot and I kindah see him as a brother, we are close, every time we are around each other he stands with in a couple feet of me and if I leave he gives me a hug and pulls me in close does it mean anything or am i just being sillly?

We need more information and more specifics about your relationship with him. Hugs are non-specific. I hug my friends and family members all the time. Some people are "huggers". Maybe he hugs you because you're a good friend and he just wants to show you he cares about you or he may be attracted to you. It's hard to say. Have you picked up on any cues that he may like you as more than a friend?

maybe you can try to make a joke about your future (A JOKE!) and if he just laughs u know it's nothing but if it's a nervous laugh, or if he says "what's so bad about that" or something to that effect you know there is something there.
you can also try talking about some kind of potential and see if he gets jealous, but try to make it sound like it's a potential and not actually cuz then if he is feeling something he'll think there is no chance and he'll give up hope.
another thing is if you both have a mutual friend you can ask him/her to find out for you in a subtle way. like say 'what's the deal with you and what's her face?" and they can report back to you.

He probably wants to be more then friends but at the same time is just comfortable around you. I have a friend who really does not like being touched at all. I also have a friend who allways leans on me, hugs me, doesn't care at all. If she grabs my *** I know its no big deal. If a grab her *** or boob she knows it doesn't mean anything. So try to see if he does the same with others. If he does, hugging doesn't mean anything to him, if he doesn't then he likes you

I don't know. He could be a guy who sees you as a friend and he happens to like hugging. Or - he could be absolutely madly in love with you. Guess who knows the answer! Nobody here on Answers. Nope. Just him. He's the one who can tell you the answer.

well its hard to understand what it means. i have guyfriends like that they treat me like there little sister right before they leave they give me a hug and like to stand near me just incase something happends. im a big clutz and always falling or something they usaly help me out. but still the way me and my boyfriend started flirting was that i would hug him but his hugs were diffrent when he huged me it was more like if he held me and when my guyfrinends hug me its a small hug some times its like a bear hug but i noiced a diffrence. i know its confusing but the best thin is to observe him and how he acts around you also talk to him.

Well, I have one guy friend who hugs me a lot just because we're good friends and we enjoy each other's presence and I have this other friend who hugs me a lot and after a few month he confessed that he liked me...

It could mean either. My advice is to talk to him about it. It kind of sounds like he likes you, and it depends on how he hugs you.

if your just good friends there's nothing wrong with a hug. if it's not just a friend hug, which i think you can tell the difference, then tell him to chill out.
