First you have to get over and past the old guy. He is still on your mind or you would be moving on. Once you touch fire you know it's hot and are a little weary from then on, but to avoid it all together isn't fair. They are different people, would you want him to compare you to his ex?

Be patient with yourself. It is very hard to come out of something bad and go into something good. Don't judge the new guy because of the old guy. Just enjoy yourself and keep telling yourself "hey I got a good thing going here" Good Luck

Things he might do could be similar, but turn your attention awaay from the past and let him swoon you...it sounds as though he already does...I'm in the same boat...my new bf is the bestbud of my ex...he waited a year and a half for me and he's amazing!just let go of what's gone~ best wishes

This is natural. Alot of people carry excess baggage. If you want to keep this great guy and not force him to leave you...you have to find a way inside yourself to put aside all that old stuff and realize that you are worthy of being loved.

Mentally slap yourself the next time you start thinking like that. The longer you've been together, the more you'll forget about that other guy. I've been through the exact same thing.

think about what you have. a guy that makes you happier than you ex guy did. except him for what he is and forget about comparing him with your ex. you can't compare apples and oranges as the old saying goes.
