The guys will probably call you a baby or something like that, so their answers may not be very satisfying.

To answer your question, only the cruel ones will do that because they are self-absorbed pricks. If the breakup is his fault and he's trying to turn it back on you, then he's probably an abusive jerk who doesn't deserve your tears anyway. Whatever the case, this one sounds like a heartless neanderthal that you are probably lucky to be without. Have some fun with your girlfriends for awhile. Get fixed up and go out with them and let guys flirt with you. You'd be amazed how therapeutic that can be for a broken heart. You just need someone to remind you how special you are. Let him go and wish him well. The universe is so much better at payback than we could ever be. Forget him (for the moment I mean, I'm not trying to be flip) and go have some fun for yourself. There are much nicer guys out there and you deserve better.

You moving on and ignoring his calls and other nasty comments is the best revenge and therapy. It's time to pamper you. Go have fun and see how much better this new year can be.

He's easier to forget than he realizes. ;) Diane

This is the men's way to deal with the pain associated with the guilt. Contrary to what women believe, the men are quite sensitive to such things as breakup. They feel heartbroken, but feel shy to admit it.
By 'rubbing things in the ex's face', they merely try to convince themselves (not the ex!) that they are much better off now without the ex.
I know it seems mean, but then that's the way men are!

OK, your question is easy. All your wandering and worrying about his new interest is stupid. If he said that you are "dead to him", that is as if you had died and you are no longer in his life. He is done with you.. no turning back... no resurrection... over. That means you can stop obsessing about him, think about what lessons you should have learned about that relationship, and move on with your life. You don't have to talk to him, see him... nothing. Move on. Don't let your friends tell you what he is doing... get a life of you own. He already has.

Hava,
If he is your ex why do you care what he's doing? Let it go. He can only rub it in your face if you are paying attention.
Go out and have a better time than you ever had with him. He is the then, you are the now.

I am a man, and have never done this intentionally with someone i broke up with. One of my more serious girlfriends however did this to me in a bad way. I think it stems from some kind of inferiority complex or lack of self respect that they must have.

it is all related to the psychology of our male dominated society where a man can announce his search for a new woman but not viseversa becuase it is still believed a woman should be purused but should not pursue ...altho this concept is getting old but still breathes and will remain alive for many years to come .
