My hair is about a 1/2 an inch below my shoulders. I want my hair to be about 3 inches longer in a few months. How do I make it grow faster?

first see a doctor and get your self some Vitamin E tablets... this always works... the next option is a little messy but if combined with the Vit E tabs, it works like magic, rub warm Olive oil into your scalp in the night before you sleep... wash off in the morning...
Cheers!

In short with no pun intended, you cannot make your hair grow faster.

Hair pretty much grows at a maximum rate of half an inch per month no matter what you do, it grows a little faster in the summer than the winter.

You may not like the answer but that is the scientific fact!

It is true, the healthier the better. Vitamin E will bring back the natural color of your hair and indeed will make them grow a bit faster. But you could also try some hair masks, for example with olive oil. Apply some slighly warm olive oil on the roots of your hair, brush it, then wrap your had with a warm towel or cosmetic hat to keep it warm for an hour. Then wash normally.
I used to treat my hair with combination of different oils, but very often, just olive oil and my freinds were always very excited how great my hair looked. In fact, it's winter now, so i'll start this treatment again soon, as i want my hair to grow too and to recover after a perm.

Your hair needs a tiny trim (try to get a good hair stylist to cut it) every two to three months. This helps the hair GROW! It actually does. It promotes and boosts hair growth. But you got to take a tiny cut. The smallest possible. And try to keep it simple, no layered ones (these need an inch and a half off atleast). Tell your salonist that you want to grow your hair, and therfore you need the tiniest trim.

Also, wash your hair 2-3 times a week (if dry), and 4-5 times if excessively oily.

Keep your hair healthy and it will do some good for you too.

GoodLuck!

Get trims every 6 to 8 weeks.

Wash and condition your hair once or twice a week.

Massage your scalp to stimulate blood flow.

Wear satin bonnet or satin pillowcase so you get no breakage.

Take a muti-vitamin everyday.

Eat healthy and excerise regularly.

Get deep conditioning treatments once or twice a month.

Always use a leave-in conditioner after you wash and condition your hair.

When using products, less is more. Don't over use the products!

Always have your hair cut on the day of the new moon, check your calendar, as this is the beginning of the growing cycle and your hair will have a good growth spurt. True.

for your daily routin... avoid brushing it too much, specially wet hair... also dont over wash your hair with shampoo... some times you need that natural scalp oil.

brushing your hair alot helps it grow faster, and trimming the ends off every once in while keep it healthy to grow.
