So I was on ebay yesterday looking at some LCD HDTV's. I find this Samsung 46" 1080p LCD HDTV that is brand new and only $600 including shipping. I check the guys feedback and he has 16 ratings at 100%. I wanted to click that buy it now so bad but of course that didn't sound right to me so I didn't. I asked him why the tv was so cheap and no response yet. Well I see today someone has used the buy it now and if that person gets that TV and there is nothing wrong with it I'm going to be pissed. But its listed $1,300 below vaule. Give me your thoughts. Here is the link to the auction as well.

what I mean is the price converted to US dollars including shipping cost is around $600. TV is 599 in AU which is $469.02 and shipping to US is $130 AU which is $102.16 which gives me a total of $571.18

Are you talking of shipping a tv from Australia to the US? At tv that will not receive standard broadcast stations in the US because the systems are different? A tv that will have no warranty in the US? A tv made to operate on 200 volt 59 hz, not 110 volt 60 hz? A tv with a type I plug that won't plug directly into a type B plug.

There's a consumer advocate by the name of David Horowitz. He used to have a television series called "Fight Back". In it, he would debunk television ads such as the Raisin Bran claim of "Two Scoops of raisins, enough for ..." and it would go on to say how many people would be able to get one raisin from the two scoops. He proved the claim in case you're interested.

But the point I'm trying to make is this. He always said "If it sounds to good to be true, it probably is." Meaning you were right not to buy that TV set.

It says AU $130 shipping - not free. plus the AU 599. What do you convert AU to your currency equal?

Back again I just looked it up - 1 us dollars equals 1.32 Austrralia dollar.
