bubba christian simply means a christian who is not well verse on the bible or anybody who pretend to know the bible but he has the wrong notion or understanding to the bible. bubba means in the philippines- idiot, poor understanding, hard learner or lack of understanding

perhaps it is referring to a trailer park redneck that is really ignorant , but at least has enough sense to accept Jesus as his savior. that would make him a lot wiser than those who call him bubba christian.
