How demented has the world become when the only book on the planet that explains life experience at its core gets trampled on and turned into the all time leading cause of hatred and war. I understand that a very minor percentage of the world has even read two pages of the Bible, but what gives them the right to criticize it? If you haven't seen a movie how do you expect to know what its about? All you hear is a handful of priests get screwed up in the head and do stupid things and suddenly every priest on the planet is a pedophile. People can't expand their imaginations enough to understand that they are not the center of the universe and because of it the thought of God is nonsense. Have you ever in your life used the phrase Mother Nature? Mother nature did this or that, how is that concept different than that of God? Is it not a "presence" that encompasses an idea? The notion of God is almost too simplistic when you understand it but most people give up too easily and claim they must be able to tangibly control something for it to be real. What is a thought? What is a dream? I dare someone to give me a physical depiction of these things. But are they real? You tell me. Ever had a thought before, did you hold it, see it, taste it, touch or smell it?
How is it that Christians can be accused for spreading hatred when not one shred of Chrsitianity even accepts negative emotion. It's not Christians that use fear, its the Christian haters and ignorantly misguided individuals and societys that spread fear and hatred.
Any man that kills another man for God, is a man that sees himself as God.

The question implies a blanket statement that is incorrect.
Not all Christians rely on fear to get what they want. As an aside, Christians don't have a monopoly on that behavior either.
For instance, I could insinuate here that you are attempting to breed fear of Christians in order to justify your positions, by implying that all Christans want you to be afraid so they can manipulate you into doing what they want.
I happen to have many Christian friends, who _don't_ use fear or preach hate, and who believe that the foundation of their belief system should be love and tolerance.
Yes, there _are_ Christians who use fear or hate to justify their message to themselves or others. That doesn't mean that it's Christian to do that.
And no... I'm not Christian.

If you really think about it Christians that operate by the spirit generate only love but Christians who operate by the flesh promote hate by trying to explain God by their form of godliness.
Therefore if you let the spirit of God teach, we'll get a better understanding of treating a person like you want to be treated
Nevertheless, I also feel Christians are not trying to scare you into hell, but the opposite, they're trying larch you into His many promises. Like Heaven
What an awesome promise

It's obvious you don't know any real Christians. I, for one, have no hate to spread. And I don't have to use fear to get what I want.
If you see Christianity as a message of hate, I do feel sorry for you. It's a message of love, forgiveness, and tolerance.
But it's not my job to drag non-believers, kicking and screaming to the altar for baptism. While God wants us to follow Him, He wants us to follow Him of our own free will. Trying to force feed my beliefs to someone else would be defeating that purpose.
I don't hate anyone. I love all my brothers and sisters. In spite of our differences.

I wish I could call you what I'd like to! How have you found the time to speak to each and every Christian? I'm surprised you have the time to sit on your azz and be here. You better get back out there interviewing people, oh I forgot, you have all ready spoken to everyone. Another moron filled with the Christmas spirit.

the Bible neither teaches hatred nor bigotry and it isn't fear that brings you to say these things it is conviction of a Holy God upon your life and you just don't get it....it isn't hate that is spread by us ...but just look at what you just said and what your other answers are and then you will see who is spreading the hate.....

They aren't deliberately spreading hate. They are placing their beliefs in a God of the bible that is notoriously mean cruel and unforgiving (though they say otherwise). They have been taught the idea of burning in Hell forever if they don't do what their god says. My god does not teach such fear, only love and understanding.
To understand all is to forgive all.

This is the way they believe and are taught from a very young age. They don't mean to be that way but that's they way many people end up. Do it my way or else you will burn in hell. It gets people's attention.

Because it's a known technique that works. Most religion use the fear of eternal suffering to deter the faithful from committing sins against their rules.
Follow the rules of our religion or YOU'LL SUFFER...eventually...when you die. Not before, however.
