Something quick and easy that a busy, tired, mom could nourish herself with for the first week after giving birth, when she is supposed to rest.

My husband used to make big batches of fruit salad for me. I also found those liquid yogurts handy, since I could even drink it while I was nursing, if I was starving. I was SO hungry the first few weeks when I was nursing! I kept plain biscuits or graham crackers around as well.

cut up some wedges of apple, oranges and grapes. Keep them in baggies in thr fridge, then she could grab the bag and take it with her.

banana, fruit cup, raisins, skim milk, cheese, 100% fruit juice, trail mix which includes nuts
