how do i prepare a case study??????

actually its the first time i have been assigned to make a case study.......it can be on ne companies progress in the use of technology or marketing or advertising etc.....if some1 could help me with the format etc.........i would be really thankful.i have to submit it in a week...so plz help.......

Case studies are used in academic and professional settings as a research method. Though there are several types of case studies such as illustrative, exploratory, critical instance, cumulative, medical and narrative, there are some basic guidelines on how to write a case study.
Process:
1.Construct a template that will be the guide throughout the writing process. This will improve how the document looks, feels and reads. Consistency in these three items is key to a good case study.

Draw your reader in with a unique title. It should attract the reader and make them want to read more.

Begin writing the paper. Start by identifying the problem that is being explored in the case study.

Explore the problem, including cause, effect and theory. Give as much background as possible.

Discuss the possible solution, and/or how this issue was specifically resolved. Tell what methods were used in the process.

First keep in mind your central question you are answering/focusing on. Secondly try to locate other case studies of a similar nature. You would need to have some stasistical evidence to validate your case and findings so maybe the American/Australian Bureau of Statistics could help out.

Set it out as you would any other assignment and be sure to include diagrams, examples, reference your work and use words that powerful Subject first then object for instance:

Most Companies believe that the best marketing strategies are....

Try not to use : Marketing Startegies that most companies use are....

LIke I siad focus onthe main quetion or your main objective.
