"I find it hard to believe that you can be in Nirvana (Hinduism) and Heaven (Islam) and Non-exsistant (Atheism) at the same time. " -JustAskMe

Is it possible that some of these terns could be used figuritively in order to convey a bigger picture.

Heaven is a place believed to exist by Christians where everything is perfect and everyone is happy 24/7. It is exclusively for christians.

Nirvana is said to exist in us all and only the dark clouds of our ignorance prevent us from experiencing it.

As good an anology as any, as long as your coin has sides for Valhalla and Paradise and any other variants on this pleasant afterlife theme....

And yes, same thing, for all intents and purposes, seeing as neither can exist independantly of our belief in them.

Whatever you believe will happen after you die will determine what sort of afterlife experience you will have. So if you believe in Heaven and you sincerely believe you deserve to go to Heaven that is where you will go. However most people who believe in Heaven believe they will go to Hell, so their afterlife experiences will usually begin there, although some may begin in Purgatory.

We eventually remember the true nature of reality and then we choose what experiences we wish to have next. Our choices are to resurrect in any life we died in, to reincarnate, or to visit our soul mates in the spirit world awhile before choosing to resurrect or reincarnate again.

Every part of what we experience is part of the spirit world and none of it is real, the Muslims have it right when they say that god alone is real, but we are all god/ess.

Heaven and Nirvana are hardly on the same coin!

Heaven is a real place. It is a real place where we can in the presence of God and enjoy His presence. There is joy and peace in such a place.

Nirvana is hardly called a place. It's what happen when you are snuffed out, like a candle. No one knows where you have gone. There is no consciousness there. If you can describe it, you ain't got it.
