Does having looks and money give a man a bad rap? For example if he is well off and handsome, many women will automatically stereotype him as a player, user, or one night stand.

Now how many percent of women agree with this? And the men? AND WHY? Why assume? Why stereotype? And why not take the risks?

I think the attitude has more to do with it than his looks and financial status. No matter what people say, you remember the cover of the book and can't help but judge that first impression.

As an older woman I can tell you that women (especially younger women) do tend to stereotype but with good reason. Beautiful, young women are approached by a lot of idiots. Most women want to know that they are valued. Not only for what they can do for you sexually but also for their spirit, personality, intelligence and beauty. If you have been labeled a "player" , more than likely, it has less to do with your looks or your money and more to do with how you treat the women you're interested in. A lot of men approach a young, beautiful, intelligent woman and their attitude says " I'd like to use your body for my sexual fulfillment. I could care less about whether you get any pleasure out of it because as far as I'm concerned you're completely disposable." or "I want you tonight but I will have another woman tomorrow night and the only thing you get out of this is your number on the men's toilet wall, possibly pregnant or maybe a sexually transmitted disease." That's just not appealing.

I hate to agree with you but I did that, I think because I was afraid of being hurt by someone that was goodlooking or financially set, it was more of a lack of confidence in myself. But I did look from a distance to see if the type of person they were, I never wanted to go out with anyone that I could not 1st observe how they acted as a person.

Honesty every man that asked me out I turned down because I did not want to be hurt, (and that was any man) when my now husband of 16 years asked me out about 20 times I finally agreed to go out with him, but I first observed him for a long time to feel that he was not looking to SCORE.

I am sure I am not the normal lady but I was very afraid of being hurt and my husband ended up being my 1st boyfriend. Another rare case.

If you happen to be rich and goodlooking, I wish you all the best, but that special girl might be standing at a distance right under your nose. =)

I get the player label put on me all the time. I do ok (cool job, car condo). I party a lot. It gets me a rep. I talk to women all the time, but if its a stranger... I get shot down a lot of times. Probably need to step my game up.
If I get introduced to someone and they can vouch for my character, then I get places.
I think women try to protect themselves, so they shoot down threats.
Just charge it to the game and keep meeting people. It always finds a way of working out...

**** no, dude. If you have money and good looks then all the women will flock to you. But based on your comment, I'm pretty sure you have neither as it doesn't sound like you get many women.

cause the risk can be painful. So I say let's all be player, humans are NOT meant to be monogamous. Look at the birds and bees they don't stay together, they have multiple partners, lets all be the same way :-)
