Target gives refunds without a reciept for merchandise credit. Just go to the returns section.

I just got done working at Target guest service today and got many, many questions like this.

It depends on how much the item costs at Target. If the item is $10-$100 you can exchange it for the same item or like item that is equal or greater value without a receipt. They use the lowest price in the past month to determine this price for the exchange. You cannot get store credit for it to use at a later time.

You will also need a driver's license to do the no-receipt return. You can only do two no receipt returns a year. And this is a year from the day you return it, not calender year.

Have a great day!

yea you can go exchange for the same items.. with out reciet.. Just tell themyou got got as gift.. and it broken..
The reciet should come out with gift reciet.. So just ask your dad for gift reciet on it... Most reciet come with gift reciet on top of it.. just go ask your dad for top reciet..
or you can just go store.. and go get new one.. just go guest service and tell them it broken.. and you wanted exchange for new one.. and Hope you have keep everything like the box and stuff inside the box... You would have to exhchange for the same item.. YOu just need your id...

You can exchange it tomorrow. I shop at Target very little, but the one time I had to take something back (it was broken also) they were really nice about it.

Wait till target opens, maybe tomorrow, or after New Year.

Anyway, if your dad knows that your cd player is broken, he wouldnt mind taking it himself for repairing. Just try to ask him and be honest!

Wait until they are open, and bring the player to the customer service desk. They should be able to scan it and give you a receipt you can use to exchange it for another item. You might want to call ahead to confirm they will do this.

The fact is that you are going to need the receipt. With vast abuse of return policies that is necessary. Maybe ask your Dad to return-exchange it. Why does it have to be a secret, did u break it.

if you received it defective, target will exchange it, but the best thing is to take it with a receipt, will make your exchange easier.
