A beach towel from my 5 year old son. Mum took him shopping to buy me something, and it took him 3 hours to pick one out. It's the best gift I've ever received because it's the first one he's picked out entirely on his own

My son is the greatest gift I have ever gotten from anyone. He means even more to me because my son's father is older than me and already had two boys--25 and 17. I am grateful beyond words that he loves me, that we found each other, and that he graciously consented to starting another family with me. My beautiful son will be one year old on New Year's Eve this year!

Child abuse from parents and siblings. Odd as it may sound,
it has given me the last 40+ years of proving to myself that the experiences did not beat the LOVE out of me; did not hinder my success as an adult, but only made me more determined.
And I have learned that it is a terrible problem that, if you survive it, you can use it to make yourself a better human being or you can whine and be a victim in your mind forever.
That is not my choice. It also made me more like a counselor to persons of that background and spousal abuse. I guess it was what God intended for my life. What's taught is what's known. (k.d. lang sang that)

A diamond necklace for my birthday from my dad. He stood at the jewlery store and waited for about 5 hours because the people there had to go to another store to pick it up. It had the letter "T" on it because it was the first letter of my name. Another lady had wanted it too but he got there earlierr.

paid trip to vegas from my then friend who then became bf and now fiance, and well the ring he gave me as well.... .. but just his love, thats probably the best.. i am a idealistic freak when it comes to love, and i am proud of it. Having the gift to be allowed to love someone and take care of them and to lame stupid dorkythings for them... priceless.
