I have two takes on this.
1) A Christian who is an atheist to all other religions. (Which would fit all Christians.)
2) Someone who is (gnostic) atheist to Christianity and (agnostic) atheist to all other religions or the last mentioned plus a theist to one religion.
Does that make sense?

How is it an oxymoron?
Everyone is an atheist. Everyone lacks a belief in some god be it the Christian God, Allah, Zeus, Thor, Aphrodite, etc. "Typical" atheists just disbelieve in ALL gods ever created.

Read what I wrote above.
EVERYONE is an atheist to some god. Every single person in the world unless you find someone who believes in ALL gods ever created (a major polytheist).
It's very easy to understand.

No.
"Atheist" is made up of two parts: "a-" which means "without" and "-theos" which means "god."
An atheist is someone who denies the existence of any god or gods of any religion. A Christian couldn't be an atheist, nor could a Gnostic.
Agnostics are different; they don't insist that there is no god, just that it's impossible to know whether or not there is one.

There is no such thing as an atheist Christian. A Christian is one who follows God's Word, knowing Christ as our Savior. An atheist is one who doesn't believe in the existence of God at all. A born again Christian only believes the teachings in the bible - what God has taught us in His word and no other doctrine that man has written such as the book of Mormon or the Koran. The false beliefs and teachings of other religions, we do not believe in because they are heresies and apostacies - they're not according to the truth of God's Word, but merely written by man himself - not God.

like they said oxymoron.
Christian-
1. of, pertaining to, or derived from Jesus Christ or His teachings
2. of, pertaining to, believing in, or belonging to the religion based on the teachings of Jesus Christ
3. of or pertaining to Christians
4. exhibiting a spirit proper to a follower of Jesus Christ; Christlike
5. decent; respectable:
Atheist - a person who denies or disbelieves the existence of a supreme being or beings
SO lets see? either the person who said it was stupid... or they are a decent atheist? a respectable atheist?
uh..... why don't you just ask them what the H*LL they are talking about!!

I'm a friendly Satanist who has experimented with different religions to learn that I belong to nothing else.
In a sense you're right.

it means someone who does not believe in a god in the sky
but tries to follow the teachings of JC.
Of course, these 'teachings' are a mish-mosh of many writers
and are rather nasty if you take the time to read all of them.
JC was not an historical figure, ya' see.
